Some Suggested Setups
My advice is to start out with a
one camera setup. This way you
can better understand how each device in the setup works.
To
monitor anyone approaching your house point the camera toward
the
most likely accessible area. Also make sure the camera has an
unobstructive view for at least 20 feet so the image will have already
been taken before the perpetrator gets to your house.
An outside camera should be high enough so the peretrator can not
easily access it. An inside camera is best because there is less
wireing
or in the case of a wireless camera the transmit distance can be
easily
delt with.

If you are using a wireless camera then you will have to have
receiver
that matches the frequency of that camera which is located next to
a
TV or VCR with A/V inputs or next to a Computer with a graphics card
with a video input or use a USB adapter.
For a wireless setup hook camera
receiver to your tv, vcr or computer
graphics card via a video audio cable.
For a wired camera hook camera
cable a/v plugs to your tv, vcr or
computer graphics card.
Just a word of advice. I would hook to a tv first so
you can see the image
right away and make any
adjustments. Now you can set up your software
and send your image to your web site.
